Neri de Kramer

Neri de Kramer is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Faculty Coordinator for Wilmington Campus at the University of Delaware. He holds a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from the CUNY Graduate Center, a Master's from the University of Amsterdam, and a culinary diploma from the International Culinary Center in New York. His research focuses on consumer behavior, food practices, and identity formation through food consumption. He teaches courses in food anthropology, material culture, and visual anthropology, emphasizing practical applications relevant to students' lives.

Teaching emphasizes experiential learning, incorporating food-related projects. He has presented at major anthropology conferences, including the American Anthropological Association meetings, focusing on topics like food politics and maternal stress. His interdisciplinary approach bridges culinary arts with academic research.
