Neophytos Neophytou is a Professor at the University of Warwick's School of Engineering, specializing in computational modeling of electronic and thermal transport in nanomaterials. He holds a BSc and MSc from Purdue University and a PhD from Purdue under Professors Mark Lundstrom and Gerhard Klimeck. His postdoctoral research at TU Vienna focused on nanomaterials. He leads the Computational Nanotechnology Lab, advancing thermoelectric materials and nanostructured systems.
- Affiliations: University of Warwick (School of Engineering), ERC Grant Holder (Starting and Consolidator Grants)
- Education: BSc/MSc (Purdue University, 2001-2003), PhD (Purdue University, 2008)
Research interests include theory, modeling, and simulation of electronic/thermal transport in nanostructured materials. Key projects include the ERC-funded UncorrelaTED and NANOthermMA, targeting enhanced thermoelectric performance. His work integrates large-scale simulations and experimental collaborations.
Teaching focuses on semiconductor materials, electronic devices, and nanotechnology. His lab develops open-source software like ElecTra for transport simulations. Awards include the 2015 ERC Starting and 2021 ERC Consolidator Grants.
