Nelleke Moser is an Associate Professor of Early Modern Dutch Literature at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She holds dual appointments in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Network Institute. Her research focuses on manuscript circulation, print interactions, and coterie reading practices between 1500-1850 with a current emphasis on eighteenth-century Dutch trompe-l'oeil books. She served as director of the Graduate School of Humanities (2017-2023) and programme director of the Humanities Research Master (2017-2020).

Her research integrates material book studies with socio-cultural analysis, exploring how texts were circulated, adapted, and valued in early modern societies. Recent work examines handmade copies of printed materials and their epistemic implications.
Teaching emphasizes connecting research to pedagogy, notably via the MA course 'The Material Book'. She holds a Senior Teaching Qualification and contributes to VU's teaching knowledge network (KnowVU).
