Nejood Al-Rubaye

Nejood Al-Rubaye is a Senior Lecturer in Arabic at the School of Language, Literatures and Learning, University of Dalarna. Her research focuses on Arabic literature, translation studies, and children’s environmental literature. She has co-edited the anthology نهر الشعر العربي: نماذج مختارة (2024) and published articles analyzing semantic structures in Arabic poetry, translation theories applied to children’s literature, and ecocritical approaches to environmental narratives.

Her work bridges linguistic analysis and cultural critique, with recent studies exploring how illness is represented in Arabic novels and the deformation tendencies in cross-cultural translation.
