معرفی
Neil Glasser is Professor and Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Earth and Life Sciences at Aberystwyth University, leading interdisciplinary research in glaciology and glacial geomorphology. His work examines ice sheet dynamics, glacial landform evolution, and climate change impacts across the Arctic, Antarctic, Himalayas and Patagonia.
Major research includes the MAGIC-DML project reconstructing Antarctic ice sheet history, analysis of Tropical Andean glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs), and studies of debris-covered Himalayan glaciers. He currently directs investigations of glacier responses to climate change using field observations, remote sensing, and numerical modeling.
Research Publications
Over 200 publications demonstrate extensive contributions to understanding ice sheet history, glacial hazards, and landscape evolution. Recent work focuses on structural controls on glacier behavior, ice stream dynamics during past warm periods, and GLOF triggers in mountain regions.
