Neesha Oozageer Gunowa

Dr Neesha Oozageer Gunowa is a Senior Lecturer and Pathway Lead for Community Nursing at the University of Surrey. She holds a PhD from the Oxford Institute for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Research (OxINMAHR) and has over 15 years of clinical experience as a nurse and district nurse. Her expertise spans community nursing, nurse education, and addressing health inequities, particularly in pressure ulcer identification among diverse populations.

Education: Dr Gunowa has earned a PhD, a DN, RN, QN (Queen’s Nurse), and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her academic credentials reflect advanced training in nursing and healthcare education.

Research Interests: Her work focuses on health inequities, pressure ulcers, and community nursing.
