Nedha De Silva

Nedha De Silva is a Research Fellow in the Department of Human Centred Computing at Monash University. Their work focuses on microfinance, gender studies, and economic security in Sri Lanka, with contributions to UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Education).

Education: PhD in Sociology & Feminist Political Economy (2020–2024) from Monash University, analyzing rural women’s economic security through microfinance in post-war Sri Lanka.

Research Interests:

• Gendered violence and economic disparities
• Post-war Sri Lankan economic policies
• Digital informal economies
