Ned Calonge

Ned Calonge is a Clinical Professor at the Colorado School of Public Health, University of Colorado Denver - Anschutz Medical Campus, and serves as the Associate Dean for Public Health Practice. He also holds the position of Chief Medical Officer for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

• Education: MD from University of Colorado, MPH from University of Washington, BA in Chemistry from Colorado College.

Dr. Calonge specializes in public health practice, epidemiology, preventive medicine, and health equity. His work focuses on evidence-based health policy, community health services, and translational research.

Scientific Awards: Elected to the National Academy of Medicine (2011).

Leadership Roles: Chairs HRSA’s Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders of Newborns and Children and the National Academies’ Board on Population Health and Public Health Practice. Former roles include CDC’s Community Services Task Force, U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, and President/CEO of The Colorado Trust.
