Nechita Florina

Nechita Florina is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova. She is a licensed psychotherapist with specialized training in Integrative Trauma Psychotherapy, EMDR, and Clinical Hypnosis, accredited by the Romanian College of Psychologists.

Her research focuses on the intersection of psychological factors and biomedical phenomena, including stress effects on osteoporosis, mental health in medical students, and psychotherapy efficacy. Over 2019-2025, her publications address osteoporosis risk factors, COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy, and student coping strategies.

She leads the Career Counseling and Guidance Center at UMF Craiova, integrating psychosocial support into medical education. Her career spans roles from University Tutor (2006-2008) to Associate Professor (current), with a focus on medical education reform and mental health advocacy.
