Nechama Price is the Director of Yeshiva University’s Graduate Program in Advanced Talmud and Tanach Studies (GPATS) and a Senior Lecturer of Bible and Jewish Law at Stern College for Women. She holds degrees including an Ed.D. from Azrieli Graduate School, focusing on the impact of female Torah scholar role models on students. Her research interests center on Tanach and Halakha, particularly women’s issues and hilchot nidda. She authored Tribal Blueprints, analyzing the tribes of Israel, and speaks widely in North America. Dr. Price is a certified Yoetzet Halacha, serving communities in NJ.
Education: Ed.D. (Azrieli Graduate School), MA (Revel Graduate School), MS (Azrieli Graduate School), and certifications from GPATS and Nishmat Yoetzet Halacha.
Research highlights her expertise in biblical exegesis and Jewish legal studies, with a focus on gender-related topics. Her articles explore themes like leadership, symbolism in Torah, and festival narratives. She has been honored multiple times as Professor of the Year and Outstanding Judaic Studies Teacher.
As GPATS Director, she oversees advanced Talmudic and Tanach studies for women. She teaches courses on Jewish family law, biblical exegesis, and tribal history at Stern College. Her community roles include guiding halakhic inquiries in multiple NJ communities.
