Nea Maloo

Nea Maloo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture at Howard University, part of the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA). Her expertise focuses on environmentally sustainable systems, decarbonization, and architectural resilience. She leads courses on environmental systems, structures, and professional practice while advocating for equity in architecture and environmental justice. Maloo is the founder of Showcase Architects, an award-winning firm specializing in environmental architecture and biophilic design.

Research & Leadership: Maloo’s research integrates climate action with global equity, emphasizing architectural education’s role in advancing sustainability. Her work includes the Equitable High-Performance Buildings course, which earned a DOE Zero Energy Design designation for Howard’s Master of Architecture program.
