Nduka Okwose is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Health and Life Sciences, with a focus on cardiovascular health and lifestyle interventions. He holds honorary research positions at Newcastle University and University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, and is a registered clinical exercise physiologist with AHCS and ACSM.

His research explores lifestyle interventions for chronic diseases like heart failure and type 2 diabetes, with a focus on exercise physiology, non-invasive cardiovascular assessment, and minority population health. Recent projects integrate artificial intelligence for heart failure diagnostics and school-based fitness interventions for disadvantaged youth.
He has secured research grants from the European Commission and collaborated with industry partners such as Cardinal Health and Baxter Healthcare, resulting in over 40 peer-reviewed publications. His work aligns with UN SDG 3 (Good Health) and SDG 17 (Partnerships).
