Nathaniel Marchetti is a Professor in the Department of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and serves as Medical Director of the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit at Temple University Hospital.
Dr. Marchetti specializes in Pulmonary Critical Care and Pulmonology with clinical expertise in Advanced lung disease, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Interstitial lung disease, Lung transplantation, and Lung volume reduction. His research focuses on exercise physiology in COPD and he has been featured in media discussing bronchoscopic lung volume reduction techniques and innovative approaches to lung cancer screenings with integrated spirometry.
He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine as well as Residency in Internal Medicine at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.
Dr. Marchetti is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Critical Care Medicine and Pulmonary Disease and is an active member of the American College of Chest Physicians and American Thoracic Society.
