Nathaniel Bozarth serves as an Adjunct Professor at Avila University, teaching Data Science: Business Intelligence and Analytics. He holds an M.S. in Business Intelligence and Analytics from Rockhurst University and a B.A. in Anthropology from Kansas State University.
His research critically examines how systemic inequities become embedded in ostensibly race-neutral data models and policies, informed by prior work on residential segregation's impact on opportunity. Creative projects include the Emmy-winning Dividing Lines app-based tour of Kansas City's segregation history (2018, updated virtually in 2021), documentary series Your Fellow Americans and Re:Dream exploring identity barriers to the American Dream, and the justice-in-education podcast Wide Ruled.
His contributions to media and social commentary earned two Mid-America NATAS Emmy awards. Outside academia, Bozarth applies data science expertise as an automotive industry Data Analyst, bridging technical skills with social impact work.
