Nathan Goetting is a Professor of Criminal Justice and Jurisprudence at Adrian College and Director of the George Romney Institute for Law and Public Policy. His scholarship centers on constitutional law and civil liberties. He earned a Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and an MA in Philosophy from Western Michigan University.
His research critically examines systemic issues in the U.S. justice system, particularly the Supreme Court's handling of wrongful convictions. Key publications address topics ranging from gun rights to judicial ethics. He received Adrian College's highest research award twice for impactful contributions to legal scholarship.
Professor Goetting also teaches at the University of Toledo College of Law and advises the Toledo Law Review. His upcoming book argues for urgent reforms to address miscarriages of justice.
