Nathan Brown

Nathan Brown is an Associate Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of the Incarnate Word. He holds a PT, DPT, and GCS (Geriatrics Certified Specialist) credentials. His roles include teaching Professional Topics I and II, and leading the Professional Critical Self-Reflection Series for first-year students.

Research Interests: Focuses on therapist-patient interaction dynamics, empathy in healthcare, manual therapy techniques, sports rehabilitation, sociocultural factors in healthcare, documentation practices, and professional ethics. Actively involved in generational and cultural studies within therapeutic contexts.

Professional Affiliations: Member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), holds certifications as an ABSPT Geriatrics Specialist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
