Nathalie Meuwly is a Lecturer at the Department of Psychology, University of Fribourg. Her research focuses on the interplay between social relationships and mental health, particularly examining how attachment styles, gender differences, and minority stress impact well-being in diverse populations, including LGBT+ individuals and couples undergoing transitions like parenthood.
Her work explores topics such as dyadic coping, internalized stigma, and positive identity aspects in romantic relationships. She has developed tools like the Dyadic Coping Inventory–Sexual Minority Stress (DCI-SMS) scale and contributed to theories on legal vulnerability in same-sex parent families.
Recent publications (2023–2025) address gender minorities' mental health, cross-cultural validation of coping scales, and attachment dynamics during parenthood. Her methodological expertise spans microanalyses of dyadic interactions, hormonal stress correlates, and mixed-methods integration.
