Natasha Grist is a Dr John Innes Foundation Fellow (SRA) and member of the School of Global Development at the University of East Anglia. She also holds affiliate status with the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research and ClimateUEA. Her work focuses on climate change adaptation in food systems, agricultural resilience, and international development. She teaches agriculture and climate change courses and leads interdisciplinary research programs integrating climate science with poverty reduction strategies.
Education includes a PhD from UEA (2005) and a post-doc at Tyndall UEA (2008). She has extensive field experience across Africa, Brazil, and Nepal. Prior roles include Head of Research at the Climate Development Knowledge Network (CDKN), where she managed a £13m research portfolio. She currently serves as Senior Adviser at the University of Cambridge.
Key research interests include climate-resilient agricultural value chains and synergies between climate action and health/development goals. Current projects include an inclusive biogas program in Kenya (details at Clean Fuel Switch). Her work aligns with UN SDGs addressing poverty, hunger, and climate action.
