Dr. Natascha Rempel is a researcher at the Department of Romance Languages under the Faculty of Philosophy at Leibniz University Hannover. Her work focuses on transatlantic intellectual networks, Cuban literature, and the intersection of poststructuralist/postcolonial theories with migration studies. She actively contributes to projects like ConnecCaribbean and collaborates on transatlantic theoretical frameworks.
Research interests include war and memory in Spanish-language literature and film, diasporic magazine projects, border experiences, and experimental writing styles. She explores the role of "space" in literary analysis and transatlantic knowledge circulation.
Key scientific contributions involve conference organization, such as moderating panels on Afro-Costa Rican literature and participating in workshops on qualitative methods. She recently co-developed a VR-based course on migration narratives, Transatlantic Theory Networks, and the EU-funded ConnecCaribbean initiative.
