Natalie Taylor is an Associate Professor and Director of the Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) program at the University of South Florida's School of Information, part of the College of Arts and Sciences. Her research focuses on information literacy, library science education, and the intersection of information policy with advocacy and ethics. She has authored/co-authored multiple books, including *Foundations of Information Law* and *Libraries, Human Rights, and Social Justice*. Dr. Taylor holds a Ph.D. and MLS from the University of Maryland, and a B.A. from American University (Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude).
Her awards include the prestigious 2025 Beta Phi Mu award from the American Library Association, recognizing her contributions to information policy and ethics. She serves as Editor of *Library Quarterly*, and has held leadership roles such as Principal Investigator for grants like 'Creating a Responsive Librarianship Scheme' (2020–2021).
Research interests span youth services, digital inclusion, and the role of libraries in promoting social justice and democracy. Notable projects include the HackHealth after-school program for disadvantaged youth and collaborations on e-government partnerships. She teaches courses on collection development, information literacy, and school media administration.
