Natalie Stingelin

Natalie Stingelin is Professor and Chair of Materials Science and Engineering at Georgia Tech, with joint appointment in Chemical Engineering. A Fellow of AAAS, ACS, APS, EAS, MRS, NAI and RSC, she directs research on organic functional materials including photonics, electronics, and bioelectronics. Her ERC Starting Grant (€1.2M) and leadership of the €4M Marie-Curie INFORM network highlight her research impact.

Honors include the Rosenhain Medal (2014), CAS President's Fellowship (2015), and RSC Fellowship (2012). She chaired the 2016 Gordon Conference on Electronic Processes in Organic Materials.

Research spans organic photovoltaics with high-refractive-index materials, smart optical systems including dielectric Bragg reflectors, and bioelectronic interfaces for neural applications. Current projects explore solution-processed photonic structures and organic/inorganic hybrids for energy harvesting.
