Natalie Conte serves as an Adjunct Professor of Voice in the Department of Music within Towson University's College of Fine Arts and Communication, a position she has held since 2019.
Conte is an award-winning soprano specializing in opera, art song, and oratorio, with a distinguished performance career spanning Carnegie Hall debuts, major opera company engagements, and international appearances. Her research interests focus on vocal pedagogy, classical repertoire interpretation, and community music outreach, demonstrated through collaborations with the Washington National Opera, Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Baltimore, and ensembles across Detroit, Rome, St. Petersburg, and Moscow.
Her notable achievements include:
- First Prize in the National Federation of Music Clubs’ Young Artist Competition
- Winner of the Maryland Lyric Opera Competition
- Winner of the Vocal Arts D.C. Discovery Art Song Competition
As an educator, Conte mentors voice students at Towson University while maintaining an active performance schedule, including upcoming projects like The Promised End with The IN Series in Washington, DC. Her work bridges academic instruction with professional artistry, emphasizing community engagement through performances with organizations such as the IN Series, Maryland Symphony Orchestra, and Russian Chamber Art Society.
