Natalie Belisle is an Assistant Professor of Spanish and Comparative Literature at the University of Southern California. Her research focuses on the role of the Caribbean in shaping modern global frameworks, engaging with postcolonial and decolonial theories, political philosophy, and speculative fiction. She explores intersections between aesthetics and political practice, racial dynamics in Latin America, and phenomenological approaches to Caribbean cultural production.

Her work examines how Caribbean literature and visual media challenge Western historical narratives and engage with postemancipation sociopolitical realities. She is completing a book project titled *Caribbean Inhospitality: The Poetics of Strangers at Home* under contract with Rutgers University Press.
Teaching focuses include Latin American literature, cultural theory, and interdisciplinary humanities. Recent courses span topics like literature and the city, comparative cultural studies, and critical race theory.
