Natalia Wegner

Natalia Wegner is a Professor at the University of Arts Poznan, serving as head of the 12th Drawing Studio since earning her habilitation in 2020. She has been a core faculty member since 2003, teaching drawing workshops and mentoring students within the university's artistic framework.

Her educational background includes:

• Graduation with distinction from the Woodcut and Linocut Studio of Prof. Zbigniew Lutomski at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań (1994–1999)
• Studies at Piotr Potworowski State High School of Fine Arts in Poznań

Professor Wegner's artistic research centers on landscape perception through vehicular motion, examining infrastructure elements and natural environments as viewed through moving vehicle windows. She employs innovative collage techniques on paper using custom-prepared painting materials, creating fragmented visual narratives that challenge conventional landscape representation. Her work bridges observational art with contemporary transportation aesthetics.

She maintains an extensive exhibition history across Poland (including 25+ cities from Gdańsk to Rzeszów) and international venues in France, Germany, Lithuania, and Belgium, demonstrating consistent artistic output and cultural engagement.

As studio head, she oversees the 12th Drawing Workshop's curriculum and creative direction, integrating her research into pedagogical practices while maintaining regular student office hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
