Naseem Alatrash is a Palestinian cellist, composer, and educator currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Ensemble Strings department at Berklee College of Music. He also directs the Arab Music Ensemble at Tufts University and the Global Folk Traditions Ensemble at Longy School of Music. His work bridges traditional Arabic music, jazz, and contemporary classical influences through performance, composition, and education.
- Education: Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Cello Performance from Berklee College of Music, with a Full Presidential Scholarship and a Full Scholarship from the Berklee Global Jazz Institute.
- Performance Highlights: Collaborations with Grammy-winning artists like Danilo Pérez, Amir ElSaffar, and Eugene Friesen; appearances at major international festivals including Newport Jazz Festival, Abu Dhabi Music Festival, and Jerash Festival; performances at venues such as Lincoln Center, Royal Albert Hall, and Concertgebouw.
