Naoto Kamata

Naoto Kamata is a Professor at the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, The University of Tokyo, specializing in forest science with a focus on plant-fungi-insect interactions and forest ecosystem dynamics.

His research centers on population dynamics of forest insects including defoliators, seed insects, and ambrosia beetles, with emphasis on Japanese oak wilt and beech ecosystems.
