Naomi Deneke is a President's Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology. She also serves as Secretary of the MSE Association of Research Scientists and Postdoctoral Fellows. Her research focuses on interdisciplinary materials science, with a strong emphasis on adhesion mechanisms, biomedical applications, and additive manufacturing. Key areas include pressure-tunable adhesives, self-assembled materials, and bioink development for tissue engineering.
Her work bridges physics, chemistry, and biology to explore soft matter phenomena, with applications in smart materials and mechanoresponsive systems. Recent studies involve electric poling techniques for piezoelectric materials and modular robotic systems for tissue characterization.
