معرفی
Nancy Worth is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Management at the University of Waterloo. A feminist economic geographer, her research explores precarious work, social reproduction, age and generational dynamics, and geographies of the intimate life, with a focus on how gender, class, and other social categories intersect in urban contexts.
Her theoretical interests emphasize relationality and temporality, particularly futurity and intergenerationality. She has led SSHRC-funded projects on millennial freelancing (Home/work, 2019-2023) and housing co-residence (GenY at Home, 2015-2017), highlighting the spatial dimensions of economic insecurity and care work.
Worth’s recent publications analyze millennial housing dependency, freelancing ambiguities, and temporalities of knowledge work, while her teaching includes courses on global economy, health, work geographies, and feminist economic geography. She was shortlisted for the Area Prize for New Research in Geography (2008).
