Nana Obayashi

Nana Obayashi is a Doctoral Assistant at the Computational Robot Design & Fabrication Lab (CREATE-LAB) at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in the School of Engineering. She will join New York University (NYU) as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in January 2026. Her research focuses on bio-inspired soft robotics and optimization for robust, fluid-environment-adapted systems.
