Professor Nam-Trung Nguyen is a ARC Laureate Fellow and Professor at Griffith University's School of Engineering and Built Environment. He leads the Queensland Micro and Nanotechnology Centre and is a member of Queensland Quantum and Advanced Technologies Research Institute (QUATRI). His career spans over 25 years in micro/nanotechnology, with a focus on microfluidics, nanofluidics, and biomedical applications. He holds a habilitation degree (Dr. Ing. habil.) from Chemnitz University of Technology and has worked at industry leaders like Robert Bosch GmbH and the Berkeley Sensor and Actuator Center.
Research Interests: Micro/nanofluidics, lab-on-a-chip technologies, MEMS, nanobiotechnology, and sustainable chemistry. Recent breakthroughs include wearable biosensors, self-powered strain sensors, and energy-efficient nanobubble systems.
