Nam Ho

Nam Ho is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences at Columbia University, with additional professional roles outside academia. He holds a BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Irvine, where he specialized in X-ray crystallography and peptide structure. He completed his PhD at Columbia University, focusing on biochemistry and molecular biophysics with an emphasis on Cryo-EM techniques for visualizing biomacromolecules. His doctoral research reconstructed 3D structures of macromolecular complexes to elucidate protein-protein interactions and understand molecular machine mechanisms.

Dr. Ho's research bridges structural biology and disease mechanisms, with expertise in Cryo-EM techniques, macromolecular visualization, and immunologic disorders. His current focus includes autoimmune disease pathways and translational biomedical applications derived from structural insights.

Concurrently, Dr. Ho serves as a Senior Medical Director at a healthcare communications agency, leading scientific consulting in translational research strategy, medical education innovations, and scientific storytelling for immunologic therapies.
