Nalin de Seixas Borges

Nalin de Seixas Borges is a Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at Universidade de Aveiro. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (Brazil), an M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, and a PhD in Natural Sciences from Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg and Leibniz-Institut für Pflanzenbiochemie (Germany). Her research focuses on renewable materials, circular economy, sustainability, and energy, with expertise in organic chemistry, natural product chemistry, and advanced analytical techniques.

Her publications span 2018-2024, emphasizing sustainable biomass processing, drug delivery systems, and nanomaterial synthesis. She has published in journals like CHEMNANOMAT, ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, and Bioresource Technology.

Technical expertise includes NMR, HPLC, MS, MALDI-TOF, and other analytical methods for material characterization.
