Naji Habra is a Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science, University of Namur, teaching Software Engineering, Software Quality, and Information Systems Strategy. He led the first-year programming courses for a decade and founded the multi-faculty research center PReCISE (Information Systems Engineering). Since 2015, he serves as First Vice-Rector for Personnel and HR, previously as Dean of Informatics (2011–2015) and President of the General Assembly (2005–2011).
His research spans software quality, measurements, and Agile processes, with funded projects like FLEXPUB (geospatial public services) and VISIONARY (accessibility solutions). He co-holds the E-Government Chair and collaborates with organizations like Cetic (non-profit) and Infopole Cluster TIC (technology sector).
Recent projects focus on flexible public e-services (2020) and software quality in SMEs, emphasizing Agile methodologies, open-source evaluation, and geospatial integration. He supervises doctoral theses in Agile and E-Government domains.
External roles include Administrator of Loth-Info and HENALLUX, Visiting Professor at Ecole de Technologie Supérieure (Québec), and membership in the IOC Club Wallonia/Brussels.
He holds a Doctor of Science from the University of Namur, a Civil Engineer in Computer Science from Université Catholique de Louvain, and a Civil Engineer in Construction from the University of Damascus, aligning with SDG Education and Industry Innovation.
