Naisy Sarduy

Dr. Naisy Sarduy is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Politics and International Relations at Florida International University's Steven J. Green School of International & Public Affairs. She specializes in Middle East international relations with a focus on Iran, Islamic political movements, and U.S.-Iran relations. Her doctoral research from the University of Oxford examined Iran's narrative of the United States in post-revolutionary discourse.

Dr. Sarduy teaches courses including Introduction to International Relations, Comparative Politics of the Middle East, and International Relations of Iran. Her research analyzes Iranian leadership rhetoric and its connection to policy decisions. She has presented at major conferences including the Middle East Studies Association and International Studies Association.

Her scholarly awards include the Houtan Foundation Award and British Chevening Scholarship. Fluent in Spanish, French, and Persian, she has studied at language programs in Tehran and served as assistant editor for American Muslim Quarterly.
