Dr. Naim ATABAĞSOY is an Assistant Professor at Çankaya Üniversitesi, affiliated with the Turkish Language and Literature Department under Common Compulsory Courses. He holds a PhD in Turkish Language and Literature from Bilkent University (2015), following a Master's (2010) and Bachelor's in Philosophy (2007) from the same institution. His research focuses on Ottoman literature, gender studies in literature, and cultural analysis of Turkish poetry and novels.
He teaches courses on Turkish Language, Literary Analysis, and Turkish Poetry. Recent publications explore topics like Edip Cansever’s tragic poetry, gender roles in Ottoman literature (Namık Kemal, Ahmed Midhat Efendi), and non-Muslim character portrayals in Turkish novels (1900–1960). His work also bridges film and literary analysis, such as comparing Nacer Khemir’s film with Abdülhak Hâmid’s play.
