Nahal Akbari

Nahal Akbari is an Assistant Professor and Director of Persian Language Programs at the University of Maryland. She oversees the Persian Flagship Program, Project Global Officer (GO) in Arabic, and the Intensive Language Summer Institute. She holds a PhD in Second Language Teaching and Learning from the University of Ottawa, Canada. Dr. Akbari is also a member of the Maryland Language Science Center and serves as President of the American Association of Teachers of Persian (AATP).
