Dr. Lecturer Nagihan EMİROĞLU is a full-time academic at Kastamonu University, Faculty of Theology, Department of Fundamental Islamic Sciences. Her research focuses on Hadith sciences, Mamluk period studies, and gender dynamics in Islamic scholarship.

Her work examines Hadith transmission in the Mamluk era, sectarian relations between Hanafi and Shafi'i scholars, and the role of women in Islamic academic spaces. She has published extensively on Mamluk hadith councils, biographical literature, and methodological debates in hadith studies.
Recent publications highlight emerging trends in Mamluk-era Hadith research, including manuscript analysis, oral tradition systems, and the socio-cultural context of hadith scholarship. She has presented at international conferences like the Al-Farabi International Social Sciences Congress.
Currently, she serves as the principal advisor for four Master's theses at Kastamonu University, covering topics such as Birzali's hadith contributions, Kemalpaşazâde's commentary methods, and concepts of baraka in hadith.
