Dr. Nagi Abdussamie is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the National Centre for Maritime Engineering and Hydrodynamics within the Australian Maritime College at the University of Tasmania. His research focuses on ocean engineering, renewable energy systems, and maritime safety. He leads projects on hydrogen-powered vessels and offshore renewable energy platforms.
Research interests span sustainable maritime technologies, wave energy conversion, hydrogen fuel systems, and offshore aquaculture infrastructure. Recent publications demonstrate strong focus on hydrogen transportation economics, renewable energy policy, and computational modeling of marine systems.
Dr. Abdussamie supervises doctoral candidates in areas including offshore hydrodynamics, coastal ecology, and ship routing efficiency. He has secured significant research funding including projects on autonomous shipping, hydrogen powering of vessels, and offshore renewable energy systems.
