Naghmeh Gheidi

Naghmeh Gheidi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, affiliated with the School of Health Professions. Her research focuses on biomechanics, tendon stress, and movement analysis, particularly in relation to sports injuries and Parkinson’s Disease.

Recent collaborations include studies on Achilles tendon mechanics, knee valgus in athletes, and cueing strategies for Parkinson’s patients. She received the Mayo UWL Seed Grant for research on Parkinson’s Disease and the UWL Challenge Coin for excellence in mentoring. Her work bridges clinical applications and pedagogical innovation, such as integrating problem-based learning in biomechanics education.
