Nagaendran Kandiah

Assoc Prof Nagaendran Kandiah is an Associate Professor of Neuroscience at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He serves as Director of the Dementia Research Centre and holds an appointment as a Clinician Scientist with the National Medical Research Council. His expertise spans cognitive neurology and vascular neurology, with a focus on dementia, healthy brain ageing, and brain disorders associated with ageing. Research interests include biomarker development, vascular contributions to neurodegeneration, and early detection strategies for cognitive impairment.

Clinically, he integrates translational research with clinical practice, focusing on mild cognitive impairment (MCI), vascular cognitive impairment (VCI), and dementia.
