Naga Korivi serves as Professor and Department Chair of the Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy (EERE) Department at Oregon Institute of Technology (Oregon Tech), where he also directs the Oregon Renewable Energy Center and leads the Electronics Engineering Technology and Electrical Engineering programs. He joined Oregon Tech in 2023 after extensive academic leadership experience.
Dr. Korivi earned his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Louisiana State University. His research spans semiconductor technologies, energy storage, advanced composites, and 3D printed electronics, with strong emphasis on interdisciplinary innovation. He actively integrates undergraduate and graduate students into research projects, resulting in numerous conference presentations and graduate school placements for students.
With over $9 million secured in research funding—including $2.8 million at Oregon Tech—from organizations like the National Science Foundation, US Department of Homeland Security, National Institute of Standards and Technology, and Intel Corp., Dr. Korivi drives significant workforce development initiatives in advanced technology sectors. His leadership focuses on program development, student engagement, and translating research into practical applications for renewable energy and semiconductor industries.
