Nadine Rousseau

Nadine Rousseau serves as a lecturer in play culture at the Academy for Cultural Education of the Federal Government and the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in Remscheid, while also contributing to the MA in Game & Media Education program at Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule Jena.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Literature, Cultural Studies, and Media Studies, a Master's in Cultural Studies from Sydney, and a Master's in Intercultural European and American Studies.

Her research focuses on cultural education with particular emphasis on diversity-conscious approaches, play culture, and cultural development planning. She has developed significant expertise in creating inclusive educational frameworks that address the needs of diverse communities through cultural programming.

Rousseau has established herself as a project developer, academic process facilitator, and lecturer working with foundations, public sponsors, and educational institutions across Germany. Her work bridges theoretical cultural studies with practical implementation in community settings.

At the Academy for Cultural Education, she founded the Diversity-Conscious Cultural Education network, which represents her commitment to creating inclusive cultural programming that addresses systemic barriers and promotes equitable access to cultural resources.
