Nadia Algosaibi serves as a Senior Lecturer in Aviation Management at the University of the West of England within the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. With 18 years of substantial industry experience complementing her academic position, she brings practical expertise to aviation education.
Her academic credentials include a BEng and an MSc in Air Safety Management from City University London.
Dr. Algosaibi's specialized expertise encompasses:
- Airworthiness regulations and compliance
- Safety Management Systems (SMS) implementation
- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment methodologies
- Safety Reporting systems and Safety Investigations
- Human Factors in aviation operations
- Maintenance Training program development
Prior to her academic career, she held significant industry positions including SMS Manager for a national carrier's engineering division in the Middle East, where she developed and managed Safety Management Systems meeting requirements of over twenty national aviation authorities. She has chaired national aviation authority working groups focused on SMS enhancement in the Middle East and represented industry interests at Airworthiness Committees.
Her research concentrates on designing effective training and assessment processes for aircraft maintenance personnel, with particular interest in evaluating how non-aviation industry training approaches might impact operational safety outcomes.
