Nader Morkus is an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics at Indiana University, Bloomington, affiliated with the Department of Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures. He also serves as Director of the Arabic Language Program and Academic Director of the Arabic Flagship Program.
- Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition and Instructional Technology from the University of South Florida (2009)
- M.A. in TESOL from the University of Northern Iowa (2001)
His research focuses on language pedagogy, instructional technology, corpus linguistics, and pragmatics. He has presented at major conferences such as ACTFL, MESA, Arabic Linguistic Symposium, and AAAL, with publications in journals like the Journal of Pragmatics and The Language Learning Journal.
He previously taught Arabic at the University of South Florida, the University of Texas at Austin, and Middlebury College.
