Nader Azizi

Nader Azizi is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at the University of Edinburgh Business School (UEBS), where he has been affiliated since 2018. His academic journey began with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa (2009), followed by a role at the University of Kent prior to joining UEBS.

Research Interests: Spanning three interrelated areas—operational research, operations management, and computational intelligence—his work focuses on:

• Tactical design and operational planning of logistics, supply chain, and telecommunication networks under data uncertainty and random disruptions
• Behavioural Operations Research
• Hybrid optimization algorithms (e.g., Lagrangian relaxation, Benders decomposition)
