Nader A. Nadershahi

Dr. Nader A. Nadershahi serves as Dean of the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and Vice Provost for University of the Pacific’s San Francisco Campus, leveraging nearly 30 years of leadership in dental education, organized dentistry, and clinical practice to advance oral healthcare systems and academic innovation.

His research focuses on transformative dental education models, integrated curriculum design, oral health policy evolution, and collaborative care frameworks. He champions student-centered pedagogy that prioritizes patient care, ethical practice, and leadership development within healthcare ecosystems.

Notable recognitions include:

• William John Gies Award (American College of Dentists, 2024) – highest honor for exceptional contributions to dentistry
• William J. Gies Award for Vision and Leadership (ADEAGies Foundation, 2024)

Dr. Nadershahi spearheaded a $69.3M fundraising campaign (school’s largest), launched new health science programs culminating in Pacific’s School of Health Sciences, and currently designs the Pacific Health Care Collaborative facilities at Sacramento Campus. His leadership extends to the California Health Workforce Education and Training Council (Vice Chair), ADA Foundation, Santa Fe Group, and regional economic councils, emphasizing community impact through mentorship and ethical governance.
