Nadav Peleg is an Eccellenza Assistant Professor at the Institute of Earth Surface Dynamics (IDYST), part of the Faculty of Geosciences and Environment at the Université de Lausanne. He holds a BSc in Geology (2007), MSc in Hydrogeology (2009), and PhD in Hydrology and Water Resources (2014) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prior roles include a postdoctoral position at ETH Zurich and senior researcher status (2020).
His research focuses on hydrometeorological systems across spatial and temporal scales, emphasizing climate change impacts, stochastic downscaling, urban/rural hydrology, and remote sensing analysis. Notable projects include developing high-resolution stochastic models for climate change assessments and evaluating hydrological impacts in Swiss mountain regions.
Recent publications highlight urban climate dynamics, Alpine precipitation patterns, and climate-driven changes in flood risk and agricultural suitability. His work spans interdisciplinary approaches to address environmental challenges under climate change.
