معرفی
Professor Nadav Amdursky is a Professor of Biophysical Chemistry at the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, University of Sheffield. His research focuses on fundamental charge transfer processes in biological materials and the development of conductive biopolymers for sustainable energy applications.
Education:
- B.Sc in Biotechnology, Tel Aviv University (2006)
- Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Tel Aviv University (2011)
- Postdoctoral research at Weizmann Institute and Imperial College London
Research Interests: The Amdursky group employs interdisciplinary approaches combining chemistry, physics, biology and engineering to study:
- Electron and proton transport mechanisms in biological systems
- Design of sustainable conductive biopolymers
- Development of energy storage and conversion materials
- Ultrafast spectroscopic characterization of charge transfer
Research Trends: Recent publications (2023-2024) demonstrate a strong focus on proton transport mechanisms, photocurrent generation in protein matrices, and light-triggered materials. The group maintains specialized laboratories for electrical characterization and ultrafast laser spectroscopy.
