Nabiha Chaudhary is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the Community Psychology Program within the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Wichita State University. Her work focuses on gender, cultural diversity, and social change through community-based frameworks. She leads the Contextualizing Psychological Processes for Social Change (CPPSC) Lab, emphasizing applied research for equity.
- Education: Ph.D. in Community & Organizational Research for Action (CORA) from University of Cincinnati (2022), M.Phil. and B.S. in Psychology from Government College University, Lahore, Pakistan (2015/2013).
Research interests include decolonial resistance in marginalized women’s narratives, intergenerational femininity negotiations among South Asian immigrants, and civic activism for refugee empowerment. Her work intersects gender studies, cultural psychology, and social justice.
Publications span topics from gender ideologies in Pakistan to U.S.-based women of color activism, showcasing methodological diversity (qualitative/quantitative) and transnational focus. Teaching interests include cultural diversity seminars.
Current projects explore solidarity-building strategies in marginalized communities and the role of leadership in reshaping gender norms. The CPPSC Lab collaborates with community organizations to bridge research and real-world impact.
