NZIENGUI MAMBOUNDOU Pierre

Pierre NZIENGUI MAMBOUNDOU is a Gabonese researcher and Associate Member of the EDEHN Economic Research Laboratory (EA 7263) at the University of Le Havre, France. He defended his PhD thesis in December 2020 under the supervision of Hélène Maisonnave, focusing on "Analysis of the impact of economic reforms on gender inequalities and poverty in Africa: Application to Burkina Faso and Senegal". His research interests include evaluating progress toward Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in developing countries, with a focus on economic reforms, climate change impacts, poverty dynamics, gender inequality, and food security.

His academic journey includes collaboration with institutions like the OECD and universities in Senegal. He has contributed to publications in journals such as Economic Modelling, Environmental Research Letters, and The Conversation, addressing topics like gender disparities during the COVID-19 pandemic and the socio-economic consequences of economic policies in Africa. As part of the EDEHN team, he participates in interdisciplinary research activities and has presented work at international conferences and doctoral days.
